This is a photo by Anthony International of Hatshepsut's Mortuary temple at Deir-el-Bahri. Isn't it wonderful? I've linked to Anthony's Egypt set on Flickr as he has an image of the excavations taken on 14th February 2009. Ordinarilly that's what I would have posted but I just couldn't resist this one.

I can't see anywhere on Anthony's Flickr pages to show my appreciaton so if you would like feel free to leave comments here.

The picture is interesting. If you go to the "ANTHONY INTERNATIONAL" link, click to go to the second page, highlight the fourth picture of the Hatshepsut Temple (the same photo that's posted. Then click "All Sizes", pick the "Original" size. pan over to the upper right corner of the photo and you'll notice three people standing up there! Who knows, it may be Prof. Niwinski doing further excavtions. You can see what he's done by going to the posting of 2/21/2009 entitled "A search for a tomb in Deir-el-Bahri". hit the "Google translation" link, the choose the "Galleries" button to see the work that has taken place there. INTERESTING IN DEED!
