Sometimes people capture important photos without realising it - and sometimes photos are important for what they don't show. BaMRTW took this one in the Valley of the Kings. It's worth taking a look at the high-res one on Flickr. It shows most of the Valley and how much excavation is ongoing ... which is very little in the visible areas. The Central Area has also been completely re-filled.

Kate,

After looking at the "High Res" version of this photo, I noticed two interesting finds. They are as follows:

1)It appears that there is excavation finally being done over the area that Nicholas Reeves suggested KV64 would be located.

2)The front roof of the "Rest Area Building" across from KV62 appears to be gone. Maybe there is digging at that location also.

Hopefully someone will be able to take a picture of these areas soon. But I think there is a current restictions on taking pictures in the central valley at this time.

That's it for now,

REM

Agree they must be very close to 'KV64' at the back of KV62 and in front of KV9
