Hi Kate

I hear you, when Dr. Hawass says that 70% of Egypt's heritage remains undiscovered he surely is not speaking of the Valley of Kings or even the Theban necropolis' which have been well picked over. Not unreasonable that Thutmosis II and Ramases VIII chose to be buried elsewhere though Ramses VIII may well have never made it to Thebes in his role as King and I am not convinced that the mummy labeled Thutmosis II is actually that King.

Here in the fast paced, action packed world of Egyptology we can be thankful for two things one is that no news is good news and the other that we are not in 40 degree Celsius heat gluing broken pots together while being referred to as " Umm al Gaab".
