Jane Akshar reports of her visit to the Valley of the Kings to enter tomb KV57 (Horemheb). She shows a nice photo of the watercourse alongside KV8 (Merenptah). She also mentions that the Inspector's Office by KV55 has been demolished and theorises that excavations there are about to start.

Hi
Surprised that you, living in Luxor, have never been inside Horemheb's tomb. It was opened to the public before and I have visited.
The Inspectors Office in the Valley, was removed in April. thanks Oz

I went back over Reeves GPR plots on his web site to see what they are showing near KV-55. There appears to be some faint reflections near the front lip of the office. Distance (including depth) seems to be about 10 meters. The data also shows some reflections from a point under the front of the rest area about 30 feet north of the South west corner. Depth at about 7 meters.
The crew who took the latest GPR measurements were apparently very vocal concerning Reeves' data. The new crew apparently said that Reeves' data only detected things to a depth of 2 meters (except where KV-63 was detected).

Dennis i am not sure what you are implying her. Are you saying that in light of this opinion that Reeves was wrong. Or that the new survey team are wrong to dismiss Reeves original work. Or is it that technology has just moved on since Reeves survey? I am not really familiar with the radar depth argument!Regards Dave Hay

My intention was to present 2 places indicated by Reeves data with their depths and wait for the Egyptian team to uncover what they apparently believe exists (somewhere in KV). If reality and data happen to be the same spot we will know more about the validity of Reeves data. I simply do not believe that Reeves' data can be dismissed out of hand. Clearly there are data responses from 'somethings' much more distant than "2 meters". I do not know anything about the specific machine used in the Reeves test (except the operating frequency). This has forced me to make many assumptions like where on the map the data started and ended. All I have seen is the posted data. If my assumptions were wrong then the reflections I am seeing are somewhere else. I have to assume that there was a report.
