I'm wondering if new excavations have begun in the Valley of the Kings for winter 2010.  This photo claims to show excavations in the valley.  It was taken on October 11th 2010 and is labelled "Luxor, Egypt - Valley Of The Kings - Excavators" but I don't recognise the location.

I see 4 man made structures in the photo - perhaps 5. A tomb entrance (KV-1?) to the left of the tripod and above the left shoulder of the guy in the tan dress. There is also something that looks like a wall or building in front of the tomb. In the photo center left side there appear to be 2 walls and something that looks like the corner of a building. Seeing the photo in original high resolution is a right click option - it helps.

The wall with the light on top left of man in blue is kv9 and wall to left of pics is over kv57 therefore pic after kv59 and nearer kv61

The photo was taken looking just east of north at about 8 or 9 AM judging by the shadows. It was taken from a trail - perhaps the one leading to the tomb maker's village. That would put the camera around KV-29/61. I can't find my copy of the TMP topological maps to pin it down further. Got a link? What I had thought was KV-1 in the far distance you identified as a near square light on KV-57.
Non workers in the frame show this as an Egyptian or at least a joint Egyptian dig. Are they allowed a blog? Does anyone recognize anyone?
