Another treasure from Marianne via a comment is a link to a page by Orlando Mezzabotta attempting a vocalisation of the passage from the Kanose stella.  The page has links to the MDC rendition for anybody who would like to try reading along.

You can listen to an MP3 of this rendition.

My thanks again to Marianne for this.

WARNING!

A reader has reported that their anti-virus software flags the Mezzabotta page(http://digilander.libero.it/ormez/kamose.htm) and another that while the Mezzabotta page is OK for her, that the link to the inscription (http://www.reshafim.org.il/ad/egypt/kamose_inscription.htm) is flagged.  Norton 360 didn't flag the Mezzabotta site when I visited it but I thought it best to pass on reader warnings and to remove the direct links.

The new link to the .mp3 is safe because I have downloaded it and uploaded it to my web space.

You can find more great dramatical vocalisations by Orlando on the Tools page at Pyramid Texts Online. The videos are particularly good as they give the hieroglyphs, McD and English along with the audio.

FYI, my anti-virus software (NOD32) says that site is dangerous and won't let me get any further. It might be a false positive result, but I thought I would report it.

My anti-virus program did not stop me from going to Orlando's site or issue any warning. However, due to what James reported, I did a scan for infections and got this, a Trojan Horse.

"C:\Users\Owner\AppData\LocalLow\Sun\Java\Deployment\cache\6.0\10\56fed00a-6e28abe3:\adobeflash.class";"Trojan horse Exploit_c.TWK";"Moved to Virus Vault"

Of course, I don't really know where I picked this up.

Marianne, I have run scans using two anto-virus software packages and my PC was fine so I don't think it was the Orlando site that was your problem. However, I would rather be over-cautious so I have removed the direct links and listed them as text instead.

So people can listen without worry, I have downloaded the .mp3 and uploaded it to my own web space.

I think it was probably fine, but these days it is better to be safe than sorry!
