This is an interesting presentation by Elizabeth Murphy of Proteus Brown University, presented as a PDF.  It is something Andie Byrnes found - my thanks to Andie - while hunting for information and material about pugs in Ancient Egypt.  (If you can help with that, please visit Andie's request for information on Egyptological.)

This was posted on the EEF list, Andie pick it up from there...are not a subscriber of the list? You should. It has been very valuable!

Not everyone subscribes to the EEF list, so having it here allows others to see the story.

Oriente Antigo, I (Andie) found the article when looking for information on pigs at Amarna. I did not lift it from EEF. I have a huge amount of respect for EEF and its contributors and although I am a subscriber I only ever lift items from the list with the permission of Aayko Eyma. And I give credit where it's due.

If anyone has any photographs of pigs in AE that they would be willing to let me use in an article I would be very glad to hear from you. andie [at] oddthing co uk.
