Happy Christmas to Kate and all!
Thank you.
It seems like a quiet start to 2012. CJB
Just a quick check. Are you still working on your Facebook page?
No I gave up on the Facebook page. Sorry.
Andie and I have on our to do list linking Egyptological and Facebook and when I do I'll think about how best to link this blog as well. The truth is I really dislike Facebook. It's something which cannot be ignored - but I try :-)
I'll make sure it is on the list of things to consider for 2012
Interesting re. Facebook, my wife ended her membership as she was not happy with it. CJB
Now comes the Coptic Christmas and, unfortunately, it places Egyptian Christians at more risk from fanatical Moslems, who are determined to show the western world that they do not know the meaning of democracy.
I'm not sure it is democracy but tolerance that is lacking. Where religions are concerned, that is nothing new. One might argue the first recorded example was Akhnaten's persecution of Egypt's traditional religions which in turn provoked an equally intolerant backlash. Then, much later, Europe provides almost too many examples: Cathars, Huguenots (my ancestors had to leave France), Jews and others. CJB
